The Paoli Fire Company and mutual aid were dispatched shortly after 11:00 AM for the report of smoke coming from a residence in the 500 block of Foxwood Lane, Easttown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. First responders were on scene shortly after the call was dispatched, and were met by a family member outside stating that there was somebody still inside the building. Firefighters entered the building and immediately conducted a search. Firefighters found fire in the basement and one deceased person. The identity of the individual is not being released at this time, as this fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Easttown Township Police Department. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. The fire was put under control within 20 minutes of arrival.
