| Did you know that portions of the area we protect do NOT have fire hydrants? When a fire occurs in these areas, we respond with our Tanker and also rely on our mutual aid partners to respond with their Tanker trucks carrying thousands of gallons of water. During these incidents, we set up a portable water tank (port-a-tank) where the tankers shuttle water. Our crews then use an Engine to pump that water to the Engine supplying the fire attack. In some cases, multiple large-diameter hoses are needed to move enough water to effectively fight the fire. A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers for spending their evening sharpening these critical skills in this heat! #paolifirecompany #neighborhelpingneighbor #training #paoli #ruralwatersupply |
