Chief Testa has led Paoli Fire Company for the last 9 years and has been an active member for 27 years.
She started her fire service career as a volunteer firefighter/EMT in 1991 with the Kimberton Fire Company, where she rose to the rank of Assistant Chief. She joined Paoli Fire Company as a FF/EMT in 1998 and served as Captain and Assistant Chief before assuming Fire Chief in 2016.
The fire service has undergone tremendous changes during Chief Testa’s tenure, and she has very skillfully led the company though these uncertain times and positioned it for continued success in the future. Under her leadership, the company implemented Advance Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services, purchased a new $1.5M Tower ladder truck, and expanded the career staffing, among many other accomplishments.
Over the last week, PFC members and distinguished guests have honored Chief Testa’s service and commitment to public safety. At the company meeting on Tuesday evening, representatives from Tredyffrin Township, Easttown Township, Willistown Township, PA Rep. Melissa Shusterman’s office and PA Senator Carolyn Comitta’s office presented Chief Testa with municipal and State proclamations. The fire company leadership also presented Chief Testa with a ceremonial parade horn dedicated to her years of service.
The members later held a company celebration that was attended by over 100 people, including company members and staff, and regional, county and local chief officers.
The members, staff, line officers and Board of Directors want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for everything Andrea has done on behalf of Paoli Fire Company, and wish her the greatest happiness in the next chapter of her life.
Thanks, Chief! |
